Derek Hiley, OUTREACH
Derek accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1983 and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit in 1987. While
attending college at the University of Toledo, Derek was involved in Inter-Varsity Christian fellowship where he lead
small discipleship groups and participated in numerous outreaches to the campus. Derek was a director of small group
ministry for the UT Intervarsity fellowship from 1990-1991. During this time he began to attend Westside Community
Church. At WCC, Derek has been involved in prophetic ministry, small group leadership, short-term mission trips to
Peru and China, dance and drama. Derek and his wife Sarah currently lead the team that oversees outreach at WCC. Sarah
has been involved in dance ministry, small group leadership, and short-term missions trips to Haiti, Grenada, and Peru.
Derek and Sarah 's vision is to see God's people active and effective at sharing the gospel and making disciples.
