Pastor Bruce Gyde
Bruce and Judy committed their lives to the Lord in 1976 and
began attending A Fellowship of the Church in Toledo, the parent
organization of Westside Community Church. In 1998, after
serving as a Deacon for nearly 20 years, Bruce was ordained as an
Elder. Bruce currently oversees the Deacon/Servant Council
ministry, Sunday morning meeting administration, as well as areas
of resourcing and development. Both Bruce and Judy serve on
WCC's Prophetic Council, with Judy having taught Sunday School for nearly 30 years.
Bruce works for the City of Toledo as a Manager in the Department of Public Utilities. Judy is
a nurse who writes for medical and Christian magazines. She is working on her first book to
guide mothers who are raising teenagers. Judy has served as president of Northwest Ohio
Christian Writers for several years.
Bruce and Judy have been married since 1970 and have raised three children, all who are
married. All of their children live out of town and are serving the Lord in their churches and
communities.The Gydes have four grandchildren.
